Investing in the Next Generation

Children's Ministry

We are focused on investing in the next generation by helping your kids know, love, and follow Jesus. We do this by sharing the Gospel in a safe & fun environment each and every Sunday!

Every Sunday, your kids can explore and apply the truths of Scripture to their lives in a relational setting, connecting with a small group leader and their peers.

We offer environments that are age and grade appropriate from 6 weeks through 5th grade.

While a lot of our efforts are focused on Sunday services, we believe that you, the parent, are the primary source of discipleship in your home. Which is why we are committed to partnering with parents as they disciple at home. We are here to help, equip, and encourage you in this discipleship Journey!

Our wellness policy is designed in the best interest of our children and our volunteer leaders. We ask that a child stay home when the following exist:
Fever, cloudy or green runny noses or persistent cough, vomiting or diarrhea, any symptom of scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chicken pox, strep throat, flu, foot and mouth disease, croup, sore throat, unexplained rash, or pink eye.

We require that a child be free of fever for 24 hours before entering the church. When in doubt, please apply the "golden rule.”

Safety is a top priority at Journey. Each of our volunteers is processed by a ministry staff member; this process includes reference checks, safety orientation, a background check, and training specific to their role. We also have a policy in place that requires volunteers to never be alone with a child.

Volunteer involvement in Children's Ministry is critical to the success of our mission. When you say yes to serving in Children's Ministry, you are saying yes to serving the next generation. It's not just the children who grow in their relationship with Jesus, it's the volunteers also! You can sign up HERE.

We are laser focused on making church a fun, never boring, place where kids can learn about Jesus, make connection with other kids, and grow to love church. We do this through games, music, creative crafts, and fun bible teachings.

Journey has digital check in. When checking in, families will receive a tag with a unique code—one for the child to wear and the other for the parent or guardian to keep. For security purposes, you will need to keep your tag in order to pick up your child. If a child becomes uncomfortable during the service, we will text you so you can come attend to your child.
