Journey Serves Presents: Journey 5K Fun Run and Walk
We are excited to announce the Journey 5K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, October 16, 2021! Come out to join our community to get some exercise, fresh air, fun, and best of all to raise a financial and a food donation to support the Chesterfield County Food Bank!
Pre-registered runners and walkers will receive a swag bag, finishing medal, and post-race snacks. We are asking for a $25 donation upon registration.
And be sure to bring your family and friends to cheer you on alongside the course, congratulate you as you finish, and dance along with you to the DJ after the race!
Also, don’t forget we are asking all who come to bring non-perishable and canned food items to donate to the Chesterfield County Food Bank!
List of Accepted Food Items:
Sm. Peanut Butter & Jelly
Juices & Juice Boxes
Pasta & Spaghetti Sauce
Mac & Cheese
Instant Mashed Potatoes
Canned Meat (Tuna, Chicken, etc)
Pancake Mix (just add water)
Chef Boyardee (Type prepared foods)
Breakfast Bars & Granola Bars
When: Saturday, October 16, 2020 @ 9:30am (Race will begin promptly at 10:00am)
Where: Journey Christian Church – Start & Finish lines will be in Journey’s parking lot
Why: Community- we are inviting anyone from the local community to pre-register and come out for the race! Our goal is to have up to 250 runners/walkers, and their family and friends to be able to provide a financial gift and a food donation gift to Chesterfield Co. Food Bank
Precautionary measures will be in effect in accordance to social distancing standards. It is our goal to keep everyone safe while promoting a positive community environment.
This is a rain or shine event, so check the weather and dress accordingly if you will be running, walking, or cheering someone on. You may pick up your race swag bag on Thursday, October 14, between 4-7pm. Be sure to pin on your race bib!
