Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that kicks off the charitable season, when many people focus on their end-of-year financial gifts. We can all be part of this generosity initiative by giving toward the mission to which God has called us at Journey: to invite and lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
For generations before us, thousands in our community have benefited and experienced life change because of the generosity of those who understood the extraordinary impact that God intended to flow from the local church. God wants nothing less for us and for our community still today. We are going to stick with his will and his plan to reach exceedingly more and more people in our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Only in Christ is any such grace, hope and freedom found.
For the greatest cause ever established, as you are planning your recurring giving and your year-end-financial generosity would you consider partnering with Journey? Every Sunday, people are taking steps into a growing relationship with their heavenly Father. People are surrendering their lives to Jesus and laying their hardships and struggles at his feet. Others are asking honest, tough questions about God and learning what it means to discover him and his character through the Scriptures. Children are learning about their Heavenly Father as they hear and sing the words of songs in worship to our awesome Creator. There is no end to the good things God is doing through our church and we are all invited to join him by being generous with all that we have: our time, our gifts and talents, and our financial resources.
Today, on Giving Tuesday, we ask that you consider extravagant generosity to help create environments that direct people’s attention toward our Heavenly Father. If you have not yet dedicated a regular recurring gift to Journey, we ask that you consider setting that up through our new online giving platform, PushPay. When giving is planned, whether it is set up as a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly contribution, it helps us do a better job of planning to meet the needs of ministry environments to best serve our attendees, guests, and those in our community who may one day call Journey their church home.
