Waumba Land is our Sunday morning environment designed just for young children ages six-weeks old through Pre-K. Infants and toddlers are cared for in safe and fun environments while Pre-K children are learning about their Heavenly Father through activities, songs, creative teaching, and small groups.
UpStreet is our Sunday morning environment designed especially for elementary-aged kids in K-5th grade. We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be brought to life, and good leaders always care. Through our small group environment we want kids to see how God’s Word fits in to their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last.
GRACE stands for God Reaching All Children Equally. Our goal is for every child to feel welcome at Journey. Whether there is an identified special need, it’s a child’s first Sunday, or maybe one of our weekly friends is just having a harder morning, Team GRACE partners with parents and with the Children’s Ministry team to help make the best Sunday morning experience possible.
We created a short video about the new Sunday experience for the children’s environments – PreK (Waumba Land) and Elementary (UpStreet). You can watch that video HERE.
Upon your arrival at the campus, please go to the Waumba Land (birth – PreK) or Warehouse/UpStreet (K-5) welcome area. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can ensure a smooth check in.
Want to know what your kids are learning in our family ministry environments each Sunday? The Parent Cue App helps you, as a parent, follow along with what your child is learning on Sunday mornings. It’s designed to help you do something simple each week to help move your child toward a deeper faith and a better future. Maximize your time – in the care, at the dinner table, before bedtime – and ask questions that help lead to simple faith conversations about what they’re already learning. Download the app from the Google or Apple store, search “Journey Christian Church”, and continue the conversation today!
